Let's make joy.

I'm a product designer, storyteller, and leader on a mission to make the digital world more human.

I create like a kid.

Kids are truth seekers. Nothing is assumed. Everything is an experiment. Curiosity is a given.

Kids imagine beyond constraints. They see the cardboard box, but they also see the rocket ship it could become.

Kids fail well. They lose a game and get back on the field, because they know playing is the only way to win.

That's how I work as a designer – with a hunger for data, an eye for the now and the next, and a willingness to iterate until our team scores.

'Meticulous and thoughtful'

Imani is one of the most empathetic designers I have worked with in my career; her decision making is strongly influenced by her user-centered design process and healthy customer obsession. She also has a keen visual eye, and superb understanding of technical constraints on projects. Her work is meticulous and thoughtful, and you can be sure that user needs, business needs, and technical constraints will be met.

'On point and inclusive'

Imani is a stellar product designer. She exemplifies everything that you'd want in an end-to-end product thinker. Her approach is simple; lead with empathy and propose what’s right only after exploring why everything else might be wrong. She can narrow down complex systems into coherent, concise, compelling narratives, interactions, user experiences, and documentation.

'Never fails to impress me with her creativity and her mastery of her craft.'

Imani provides great attention for detail, while also considering broadly how something fits into the holistic user experience. As a result, her designs are warm, thorough, intuitive. Imani is one of my favorite people to work with, and I would jump at the chance to collaborate again in the future.

'A rare breed, dare I say a unicorn'

I had the pleasure of working alongside Imani for only a few short months, but even in such a short time, she left a huge impact on me. Not only was she an exceptional team player, she was a natural leader, and provided creative vision for the rest of the team! From conducting thorough user research on our platform, to building out next-level user experiences, to her stunning visual designs; she stands out as one of the best product designers I have ever had the chance to work with.

'Applies her thoughtfulness and inclusivity to every thing she does'

On the Pathrise team Imani and I were the core platform designer and engineer and as a result worked together very closely. She enhanced our product team not just in design thinking but also in empathy. She was always considering the best experience for every type of end user and was extremely thorough in her research; leading to insightful and well executed product designs. Every discussion that I've had with Imani, as well as every piece of feedback I've received from her, has pushed me to become a more well-rounded and mindful engineer.
